Dear Members of ETNA,

We hope this message finds you well and in good health during these challenging times. The President and Board of ETNA wanted to reach out to you and extend our heartfelt thoughts as we all continue to witness the ongoing situation in Israel and Palestine.

We understand that the conflict is deeply complex and has had a profound impact on individuals, families, and communities on both sides. As an international nursing association focusing on transcultural care, we are committed to promoting understanding, empathy, and collaboration across borders.

Some of our members have built meaningful collaborations with colleagues from both Israel and Palestine. These connections transcend political divisions and serve as powerful examples of how healthcare professionals can come together to address common goals: providing care, promoting health, and saving lives. We applaud your dedication to fostering a sense of unity through your shared commitment to the well-being of your students, patients and communities.

It is our belief that the values of compassion, respect, and a shared commitment to health and education, can serve as bridges during challenging times. We stand in solidarity with all our members who are directly affected by the situation, and we extend our support and encouragement to continue your essential work, regardless of the adversities you face.

Our international nursing community is a testament to the power of human connection and collaboration, transcending geographical and political boundaries. In this spirit, we hope that our shared commitment to transcultural care can serve as a reminder of the positive impact healthcare professionals can make when working together for the benefit of all.
We are here to support you in any way we can, and we look forward to a future where healthcare and education is a source of unity and healing.
Warm regards and continued hope for peace and resilience,

On behalf of the ETNA Executive Board,
Professor Irena Papadopoulos
President of ETNA.
